Privacy Policy

Prostream TV lets you send a video page or media link selected in Chrome to your paired Apple TV. The product consists of the Prostream TV Chrome extension, the Prostream TV Helper on your Mac, and the Prostream TV app on Apple TV.

Prostream TV does not operate an analytics, advertising, account, or stream-processing service. Gacnt Software Inc. does not receive or retain the information handled by the extension.

• User-selected website content. When you choose Send to Prostream TV, the extension handles the selected page URL, media URL, link, or selected text needed for that action. It sends the selected URL to the local Prostream TV Helper. Stream URLs and playback history are not stored.
• Local receiver information. The extension stores paired Apple TV identifiers, display names, an optional network address, and your selected default TV in Chrome local storage. Pairing credentials are stored by the Helper in macOS Keychain, not in the extension.
• Optional Tailscale information. If you enable Tailscale discovery, the extension stores the API access token and tailnet value you provide in Chrome local storage. It sends the token only to the official Tailscale API over HTTPS to list your own devices. Returned device names and network addresses are used only to let you select an Apple TV. Gacnt Software Inc. does not receive this information.
• Local status. The extension may keep a session-only result such as whether the last cast succeeded, the destination name, and the time of the action. This status does not contain the stream URL.

Prostream TV does not access or collect:

• Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or other PII
• Your browsing history or a list of sites you visit
• Browser cookies, saved passwords, or saved login sessions
• DRM credentials or private and age-restricted account access
• Financial, health, personal communication, or advertising data
• Analytics, behavioral profiles, or cross-site tracking data

Information is used only to provide the user-requested casting, pairing, receiver discovery, and status features. The selected URL is handed to the local Helper and then to the paired Apple TV. The Apple TV retrieves media directly from its source.

If you install and enable yt-dlp separately, the Helper may use it locally to resolve a selected video page into a playable media URL. It does not supply browser cookies, saved logins, or DRM credentials to yt-dlp.

Information is not sold, used for advertising, used to determine creditworthiness, or transferred for purposes unrelated to Prostream TV's single purpose. The optional Tailscale request and the media request made by your Apple TV are the only third-party transfers described above.

Extension preferences remain on your Mac until you change them or remove the extension data. You can remove a paired receiver from the extension at any time. Unpair removes the authenticated pairing from both devices when the Apple TV is reachable. Forget removes the local credential when it is not reachable.

You can replace the optional Tailscale token through the extension settings or remove the extension to clear its Chrome local storage.

Chrome communicates with the local Helper through Native Messaging. Pairing credentials are protected by macOS Keychain. Commands sent to a paired Apple TV use authenticated encryption. Optional Tailscale API requests use HTTPS.

Prostream TV's use of information received from Chrome APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data is used only to provide or improve the extension's user-facing casting functionality.

We may update this policy when Prostream TV's functionality or legal requirements change. The current revision date will remain at the top of this page.
